Overview
Payment Links allow you to collect payments from your customers by sharing a URL. There are two types of payment links:
- Single Payment Link - A one-time use link for a specific payment amount
- Permalink - A reusable link where customers enter their own payment details
Both types of links can be shared via email, SMS, social media, or any messaging platform.
Single Payment Links
Single payment links are ideal when you know the exact amount your customer needs to pay. These links are active until the first successful payment is received.
When to Use Single Payment Links
- Sending invoices to individual customers
- Processing refunds
- Collecting specific payment amounts
- Creating payment requests for orders
Creating a Single Payment Link
- Click Create new in the Payment Links page
- Fill in the payment details:
- Amount (required) - The payment amount in PHP
- Title (required) - A descriptive title for the payment (e.g., "Invoice #1234")
- Valid until (required) - Link expiration date (pre-filled to 2 days from now, maximum 31 days)
- Payor (optional) - Customer's name
- Order number (optional) - Your internal reference number
- Description (optional) - Additional payment details
- Click Generate
- A modal will appear with your generated link
- Click Copy link to copy the URL
- Share the link with your customer via email, SMS, or messaging apps
Note: The link is automatically generated with a unique 4-character code (e.g., AB12) that appears in the URL.
Link Status
Your payment links can have three statuses:
- Active - Link is accepting payments
- Link has not received a successful payment
- Valid until date has not passed
- Link has not been manually deactivated
- Paid - Link received a successful payment
- Automatically changes to this status after first successful payment
- Link no longer accepts new payments
- Inactive - Link is no longer accepting payments
- Valid until date has passed, or
- You manually deactivated the link
Important: Failed, rejected, or cancelled payment attempts do NOT change the link status. The link remains active so your customer can try again.
Managing Your Payment Links
Viewing All Payment Links
The Payment Links page displays all your created links with:
- Link - Payment amount and title or link code
- Created on - When the link was created
- Valid until - Link expiration date
- Status - Current link status (Active/Paid/Inactive)
- Actions - Copy link or Deactivate link (available for Active links only)
Default view: Shows all statuses, sorted by status (Active first) then by creation date (newest first).

Use the status filter to view:
- All - All payment links
- Active - Links currently accepting payments
- Paid - Links that received successful payment
- Inactive - Expired or deactivated links
Searching Payment Links
Search by link code or title to quickly find a specific payment link.
Payment Link Details
Click any payment link to view:
Link Information:
- Payment amount
- Status badge
- Link code (with copy button)
- Creation date
- Expiration date
- Description
- Order number
- Payor name
Payment History:
- All payment attempts made through this link
- Each transaction shows: payment ID, amount, date, and status
- Includes successful, failed, rejected, and cancelled payments for complete visibility
Available Actions (for Active links only):
- Copy Link - Copy the payment URL to share again
- Deactivate Link - Manually deactivate the link to stop accepting payments
Deactivating a Payment Link
If you need to stop accepting payments on an active link:
- Open the payment link details
- Click Deactivate Link (red button)
- Confirm in the modal: "This link will no longer accept payments. This action cannot be undone."
- Click Deactivate
The link status changes to "Inactive" and the URL no longer accepts payments. You cannot reactivate a deactivated link.
Automatic deactivation occurs when:
- A successful payment is received (status changes to "Paid")
- The "Valid until" date passes (status changes to "Inactive")
Permalinks
Permalinks are reusable payment links where your customers fill in their own payment amount and details. Unlike single payment links, permalinks don't expire and can be used multiple times.
When to Use Permalinks
- Accepting donations of any amount
- Allowing customers to pay custom amounts
- Providing a permanent payment option on your website or social media
- Collecting payments when amounts vary by customer
- Creating a "Pay Now" button that works for all transactions
How Permalinks Work
- You receive one permanent permalink URL for your store
- Share this URL publicly (website, social media, email signature, etc.)
- When customers click the link, they see a payment form
- Customers enter their own information:
- First name (required)
- Last name (required)
- Email (required)
- Phone number (optional)
- Payment amount (required)
- Payment description (required)
- Customer accepts terms of use
- Customer clicks "Pay Now" and proceeds to the payment gateway
Accessing Your Permalink
- Go to the Payment Links page
- Click Copy permalink button at the top of the page
- Paste the URL wherever you want to share it
Your permalink URL looks like this: https://link.swiftpay.ph/XXXX
Permalink Form for Customers
When customers open your permalink, they see a form with your store name and logo (if you've provided one). The form includes:
Personal Details (all required except phone):
- First name
- Last name
- Email address
- Phone number (optional)
Payment Details (both required):
- Amount - Customer enters how much they want to pay
- Description - What they're paying for
Terms of Use: Customer must check "I accept the terms of use" before the "Pay Now" button becomes enabled.
After submitting, customers are redirected to the payment gateway to complete their payment.

| Feature | Single Payment Link | Permalink |
|---|---|---|
| Amount | Pre-set by you | Customer enters |
| Validity | Expires after first payment or expiry date | Permanent, never expires |
| Use case | Specific invoices/payments | General payment acceptance |
| Personalization | Can include customer name, order number | Customer enters their details |
| Status tracking | Has Active/Paid/Inactive statuses | Always active |

Common Questions
Q: Can I reactivate a deactivated payment link?
A: No, once a link is deactivated (either manually or after successful payment), it cannot be reactivated. You need to create a new payment link.
Q: What happens if a customer's payment fails on my single payment link?
A: The link remains active. Your customer can try again using the same link. Failed payments don't deactivate the link.
Q: Can I have multiple permalinks?
A: You have one permalink per store. If you manage multiple stores, each store has its own unique permalink.
Q: Do permalink payments appear in my transaction history?
A: Yes, all payments made through permalinks appear in your Payments section just like any other transaction.
Q: Can I customize my permalink URL?
A: No, the permalink URL is automatically generated based on your store ID and cannot be customized.
Q: What if my payment link expires before the customer pays?
A: Once a link expires (past the "Valid until" date), customers cannot use it. You'll need to create a new payment link and send it to your customer.
